Most new portable CD mp3 players will recognize all the many mp3 formats. For older mp3 players you will want to read the specifications on which types of music files they will play.

Portable CD mp3 player that doubles as an mp3 player dock. More simply stated this is a portable device that allows you to play CD’s of all types but also has a dock for your portable mp3 player.
Now you can play your ripped CD’s or the hundreds of songs saved to your mp3 player usb. Versatile and handy this player will likely replace traditional CD players sometime in the near future. Not much use for a portable CD mp3 player with a dock if you do not have or plan to get an mp3 player.
